Fishing

There is good local fishing, sea, loch and river, permits can be arranged.

Shooting

Several types of shooting are available, throughout the year.

Kingscliffe Lodge, offers all the usual activities, clay pigeon shooting, Archery, Quad bike trails, motor cross, etc. and a good licensed restaurant

Lochter, near Old Meldrum, has Trout fishing, clay shooting, archery and other attractions together with a good restaurant.

Golf

This Area is renowned for its many and varied courses, many to championship standard.
For example:
Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen, Newmacher, Ellon, Murcher, Old Meldrum, and Duff House Royal, all being within easy reach.

Bird Watching

Ellon is adjacent to the Ythan estuary where many species may be observed, both migratory and rare birds may be seen.

Other

We are on what is known as the Castle Trail, and also the Whisky Trail, where visitors can visit complete and ruined castles, or embark on a whisky sampling tour of the Spey side distilleries.

Also close at hand are many National Trust places of interest to visit...
Haddo House, the stately home of Lady Aberdeen, Fyvie Castle, the beautiful Pitmedden gardens and Leith House, where guests can roam at will.

This area is also well suited for those that like walking.
